The room was not cleaned before we booked in, on the website it shows the room layout as having 2 bedrooms with 4 single beds, in reality there was only 1 bedroom and a fold down settee which was broken.
Location and food ok staff and facilities are good area lovely the hotel lets it down
Sofabeds should be condemned the apartment was not very clean Ihad to clean the place before I could use anything.the food was good but the dining room was dirty ' the windows needed cleaning and should be kept clean after all food is prepared and eaten there I am surprised health and safety allow you to operate.we will not be returning its a shameit could be so much better.
Everything. It was like living in a block of council flats. Fold out sofa bed very uncomfortable. Horrible smell. General sense of low hygiene.
We liked nothing we booked for 2 nights stayed for 1! This place needs condemning!it is filthy! There is no entertainment! The food is disgusting. There were fleas jumping out of the carpet and we got bitten. Room up old concrete steps even though we had a baby in a pram. Place is surrounded by high metal fences this I can only assume is to keep customers from escaping! Nothing about this break was enjoyable and we will be putting a complaint in demanding our money back disgusting!
General condition of room was poor and whole site looked run down and dated. U have to buy the eecteicity for your room in token form, like a tradition electric meter.
The accommodation was very old, untidy, no beddings (had to be requestd), the frame of sofa bed was broken. The phone numbers didnot respond for service, no instructions in the rooms. Resturant/ Food, however, was good and service for food was also good.
we enjoyed our stay but was disapointed that there was a dance show on and only people with wristbands could go in as we had a 9 year old girl with us who was hoping to see the dancing i thought as we were staying at the camp we wouldhave been able to go in but were told it was private so we had to make do with smaller room apart from that things were not too bad
not enough to do only if ya you wanted to spend all day on the ammusment arcade where every thing was £1
If you start your holiday on a Bank Holiday Monday be prepared for chaos. My son and three young boys arrived at .2.00pm for check in at four to be told the chalets will not be ready til 6.00pm, they were given drink vouchers but no food. They could not use facilities til they got their key. They finally got their key at 7.00pm, the chalet was filthy, the bedding was the wrong size, there was no waste bin or microwave. It took until 10.00pm to get the bedding, it was a totaly wasted day. He reported the mess but no one came to clean. He got a bin the day we left... The microwave did bot materialise. We arrived the Tuesday to join them but had no problem booking in. Chalet cleanliness left a lot to be desired, Showerhead, tapps, toilet and bath all dirty. We had a microwave but only one plug in the kitchen area to plug in toaster microwave and kettle. It was easier to eat out. We ate lunch in their restaurant, cheap and basic but passable. Pontins needs to buck their ideas up if they are to keep going, the camp has deteriated so much over the last few years.
The staff seemed to have excuses rehearsed as if they said them that often it flowed of their tongue. The general unkempt feel to the place.
my son got murdered @ xmas and we adopted his two lil boys age 3 & 5 yrs old. we brought them to your holls resort as a lil brake, but after making our beds in room 307, the double quilt was all bobbled along with ginger pubic hair, the pillows all need binning, there were no loo brush, no dust pan, there is slats missing off the bunk beds I.E if a kid gets a broken leg u will be liable as it doesnt meet health & safety, and we had all the rubish left outside our chalet from the chalets on the next block outside our door. however the sheets & covers were imaculate along with the other facilities in the chalet. But all the staff was very welcoming, please dont be affended by what I have said but I also mentioned it to the reception. Money is tight now as we are 60yrs old and I left the chalet Imaculate when we vacated. Kind regards Gail & Len Weedy P.S cant believe we actualy paid nearly £200 for 2 nights to be so critical on basic cleanliness.
I liked that all the entertainment was included, that the site was clean and there was something for everyone.
the only problem I had was that went we went swimming they were cleaning the baby pool while we were using the pool and the chemicals they used made your eyes water
By the beach.........
When we arrived it looked lovely, however that soon changed,it states that there is direct access to the beach when actually the park is fenced in all the way around,so u have to walk to the main entrance and the back on yourself to gain access to the beach....which if I do say so myself is the best part about the area.the rooms were not cleaned properly, too hot and they smelt, also couldn't use the fridge as when opened it smelt like something had died in there absolutly disgusting.the entertainment park was also untidy food was very poor..if we did not own a car then we would have starved for the night I am so glad I only booked the accommodation for 1 night has if it had been booke for the 2 nights as planned then it would have been a waste of money has we could not wait untill the morning to be leaving...also on arrival the were no bed sheets or bath sheets in the room we had to fetch them from services and we had no towels because you have to hire them out when we were told they would be provided free of charge.....my advise to anyone wishing to stay in the area is to pay that little bit extra and book else where..we will definatly not be returning here I would not stay if it was free of charge....its a shame really because although it would cost some money to up date this site it could be made really nice with a little bit of tlc....
Very good value for money and plenty to do.
Chalet windows needed cleaning. Also think it was a mistake to hire out the pub on the Saturday night. Had a brilliant night in there on the Friday and our girls were looking forward to the Saturday night only to find it closed. Also - lack of glass collectors. Beer tastes awful out of plastic beakers. There were loads of empties on the tables but no staff to collect them. That was a big let down. We went back to our chalet early because of this.
The activities and the size of the apartment
The check in process and the opening times of the restaurants.
nothing the place should be pulled down the most run down place i have ever stayed it not fit for pigs and the english call the irish dirty
We are a family of four with 2 young children aged 2 and 5 we had an excellent time at pontins prestatyn. The blue coats were brilliant with the kids and they couldnt wait to get up get breakfast and drag us over to see what the bluecoats had in store for them that day, they had sports day, dance school, competitions, panto etc it was hard to sprise them away to go swimming and down to the beach. The site is great for the kiddos. The chalets wasnt anything special but are what you would expect for the price. Overall fantastic little family break and kids cant wait t go back.
